Since 2006, the Bruce Killough Tradition Award is given annually to the YMCA wrestler that best exemplifies what YMCA wrestling is all about.  The award will be given to the athlete whose number one concern is their team, someone who is dedicated to practice and getting better, who wrestles the right way, within the rules, shares their knowledge with their teammates, somone who may not be the best but gets the most out of what they have.  Finally, this person is a natural leader, other athletes follow their example.  The Bruce Killough Tradition Award is the highest honor a YMCA Wrestler can receive.
